Select the question type from the available options below, depending on the kind of answer you want to receive from your suppliers:
1. Text Input
The “Text Input” question type allows suppliers to provide an open-ended response in free-text format. It is ideal for answers that require descriptions, comments, observations, or other explanatory details.
2. Number Input
The “Number Input” question type allows the supplier to enter a response using numeric values. It is used for quantitative data such as prices, quantities, or percentages.
3. Single Choice
The “Single Choice” question type lets you create a predefined list of answers from which the supplier can select only one answer. In addition, you can link one or more options from the list to specific follow-up questions in the questionnaire.
In this setup, the supplier’s selection controls the questionnaire’s flow skipping any intervening questions and takes them directly to the linked follow-up question.
➤ Step by step instructions:
3.1 Select the “Single Choice” question type and click Edit question options.
3.2 Click Add new option.
3.3 In the “Option text” field, enter the first option in the list. At this stage, you won’t see any questions available to link in the “Go to question” field (to the right of the option text). You need to add subsequent questions first and then they will appear as linking options.
3.4 Continue adding the remaining list options for this question by clicking Add new option each time, without using the “Go to question” field for each option at this stage.
3.5 Continue by adding the next questions in the questionnaire.
3.6 Click Save Questionnaire (bottom-right). If you don’t want to link options to other questions the process ends here.
3.7 If you want to link options to specific questions, select Actions → Edit Questionnaire.
3.8 In the “Single Choice” question type, click on Edit question option. For each option you want to link, use the “Go to question” field to select one of the subsequent questions in the questionnaire. To complete the process, click Continue and then Save Questionnaire.
4. Multi-Select
The “Multi-Select” question type lets you create a predefined list of answers from which the supplier can select more than one option by ticking the checkboxes that apply.
⚠️ Although the option to link to subsequent questionnaire questions is displayed, it does not work for this question type. Therefore, you should not link your options using the “Go to question” field.
Select the “Multi-Select” question type and follow the same creation steps described for question type 3. Single Choice up to step 3.6.
5. Download
The “Download” question type allows the supplier to download a file attached to that specific question, such as a document template, instructions, or a file to complete.
To make the file available for download, the following is required:

⚠️ Make sure you carefully follow the folder creation steps and read the “Important note on creating a folder for use with a questionnaire”, as mentioned in the folder creation article.

5.1 Select the “Download” question type.
5.2 In the “Category to download From” field, select the folder you want to choose the file from.
5.3 In the “Downloadable file” field, select the file you want to make available for the supplier to download.
6. Upload
The “Upload” question type allows the supplier to attach files to their response (e.g., offers, supporting documents, certifications), which are stored in the folder you specify. To enable this, you must first create a folder, as described in the article:

In addition, for this question type, you can attach a file for download (e.g., a template or instructions), which the supplier can download while answering the question.
To make the file available for download, the following is required:

6.1 Select “Upload” in question type.
6.2 In the “Attachment categories” field, select the folder where the files uploaded by the supplier will be stored.
6.3 If you want to provide suppliers with a file to download (e.g., a template or an instructions file), select the “Include file” checkbox to display the additional fields.
6.4 In the “Category to download From” from field, select the folder you want to choose the file from.
6.5 In the “Downloadable file” field, select the file that will be available for the supplier to download.
